City to Hold Open House for Proposed Public Works Building

The public is encouraged to attend an open house on Friday at the street and water-sewer maintenance shops.

Mayor Paul Aylward says the purpose of the open house is to demonstrate the need for a new public works building and answer questions Huron residents may have about a proposed public works building.

Aylward says money in reserves will be used for the project.

$2.7 million in general fund reserves and second penny sales tax money will also help cover the cost of the new building.

Aylward says the proposed project would be located in the West Industrial Park.

The open house will take place from 4-7pm this Friday at the street shop, 1st Street and Colorado SW, and the water sewer shop at 215 Market SW.
