At last night’s Huron City Commission meeting, commissioners approved a reduced rubble rate for Asphalt Paving & Materials Co.
The company wants to demolish a building to it’s West that was formerly occupied by Diesel Services and Best Buy Auto to make room for a shop and office complex. Michael Bartholow of Asphalt Paving requested the half rate of $15 per ton at the rubble site.
Solid Waste superintendent Dale Fortin recommended approval.
Also last night, commissioners approved the purchase of a new street sweeper from Sanitation Products Inc. of Sioux Falls for $209, 124.
