The Natural Resources Conservation Service is now taking applications for the Conservation Stewardship program. USDA officials announced there is one hundred fifty million dollars available for C-S-P. South Dakota NRCS CSP Coordinator Jessica Michalski says South Dakota has the most acres enrolled in the C-S-P.
She says acres enrolled have increased since the first CSP signup in South Dakota six years ago.
Michalski says there are several conservation enhancements landowners can use on their cropland with the CSP.
Michalski says anyone interested in signing up for the CSP should stop in their local county NRCS office..
