Over 30-Thousand Pledged During 2015 Christmas Basket

The fund raiser for Christmas Food Baskets for families in need this holiday season moved fairly quickly through the nine different groups performing holiday music at the Huron High School Auditorium. The 30-thousand plus dollars raised and pledged will help families in need in Beadle County and surrounding areas including Wessington Springs, De Smet, Miller and Tulare. As Linblad mentioned those who have pledged money should now send that pledge to the Salvation Army, PO Box 1362, Huron, South Dakota 57350. Please write on the check or envelope “Christmas Basket Program” Leftover funds not used for Christmas Food Baskets will be used to support the Salvation Army’s food service for the rest of the year. Today is also the final day applications for Christmas Food Baskets and Angel Tree gifts can be made at the Salvation Army building at 237 Illinois Avenue, Southwest.
