The Executive Director of the South Dakota’s Wind Energy Association sees positive potential with President Obama’s Clean Energy Plan released on Monday. Paul Bachman says the other thing that’s needed is more support for wind energy from Congress.
Bachman says while the President’s plan has promise, it’s more important to push incentives through Congressional action.
Bachman says one of the most positive events that should be a big help to wind development in South Dakota is more transmission capacity.
Bachman says that’s important because South Dakota does not have a large transmission system.
