Commisson Approves 3 Variances, Deferres 1

City of HuronThe Huron City Commission, meeting as the Board of Adjustments considered four variances Monday night. Lisa Tschetter’s request to build a fence came before the Board. She wants to build a six-foot tall fence were a fence that tall could not go. Safety viewing angles were a part of Tschetter’s plan. Tschetter’s request was approved. The variance filed by Stacy Goergen was postponed as Commissioners Kludt and Bryan Smith recused themselves from consideration of the request. Mayor Paul Aylward….

The reasons for Kludt and Smith’s not wanting to take part were not disclosed. The Board of Adjustments did approved a variance filed by the Huron Park and Recreation Department to place a billboard advertising Splash Central along U-S Highway 14 across from Memorial Park. A fourth variance requesting a plat change was also approved.
