Highmore Man Headed To Prison For Cattle Thefts

court genericA Highmore man will spend four years in prison on a grand theft charge. Attorney General Marty Jackely says 27-year-old Kyle Allen Hall was sentenced Thursday on the grand theft charge. He was given a seven-year prison term with three years suspended Hyde County States Attorney Merlin Voorhees says Hall was working as a hired man on a ranch in Hyde County and representing the livestock of his employer as his own. Hall sold calves through the website Craig’s List and at an area sales barn. The calves did not have identifying brands on them. Twenty-seven head were recovered. South Dakota’s Division of Criminal Investigation, South Dakota Brand Board and Hyde County Sheriff’s Office helped conduct the investigation
