A series of semi-annual updates before the Huron City Commission continued Monday night with an update from the Huron Event Center. Jager says wedding numbers were down slightly in the last six months…
Jager says the wedding numbers were disappointing but they will work to recover some of those lost events. She says the Campus Center and Top Floor Events were the two new venues available in Huron to host weddings and that even building on the State Fairgrounds have been used in the last year for receptions. Jager says the Huron Event Center has a good relationship with the Huron Chamber even though the manner in working to get events to Huron has changed…
One goal for 2015, Jager says is to be more aggressive in making contacts for conventions.
