The Huron City Commission has a light agenda tonight including a meeting of the Board of Adjustments for a variance request. The variance has been requested by Sunbird Incorporated, where they are requesting to construct an addition that would go up to the south property line, where code requires a 12 foot rear yard setback and 15 foot front yard setback in a general industrial district. When the City Commission reconvenes, Commissioners will consider approval of the agenda and consent agenda, along with a request for a sidewalk cafe for Yessica’s Restaurant in downtown Huron. The Commission will also consider hiring recommendations for a part time police officer and two full-time police dispatchers. There are no scheduled executive or work sessions for the Huron City Commission. They meet tonight at 5:30 PM at the Huron Municipal Building. The meeting is open to the public.
