Today is the final day Performance Radio is accepting donations to assist the Veteran’s of Foreign Wars Post 1776 recover from a financial loss following the burglary of their safe earlier this month. Huron police have not disclosed the amount taken. So far 835-dollars has been raised in all dollar amounts from 10 dollars in cash to the largest donation, a 300-dollar gift from a private individual. Performance Radio has chipped in 250-dollars along with the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 3-A Donations are being accepted until five-PM tonight. Checks should be made out to V-F-W Post 1776. As for the investigation into who burglarized the nearly 100 year old safe that held bingo money, Huron police say they have had very few leads as they continue to search for those responsible.
