Christmas Basket Ends With 38-Thousand In Pledges

Phone pledges totaling 38-thousand, 370 dollars came in during the four nights of the 65th annual Salvation Army Christmas Basket program.  Proceeds raised during the program will go toward supplying Christmas Food Baskets for less fortunate families in the Huron area this holiday season.  Those who have pledged donations to the program are reminded to send their pledge to the Huron Salvation Army at P-O Box 1362.  Please write on the envelop or check “Christmas Basket Program” to ensure your donation is directed to proper account.  Applications for Food Baskets must be made in person at the Salvation Army this afternoon from one to three P-M at the Salvation Army at 237 Illinois Avenue.  A final total will be known in  a few weeks as actual donations are received.
