City Commission Meets Tonight

The Huron City Commission is meeting tonight at the Huron Municipal Building. Commissioners will meet as the Board of Adjustments to consider two variance requests, one is regarding signage for a home occupation, the second is for the proposed construction of a garage. When the City Commission reconvenes, Commissioners will consider a payment request for the north water tower. The Commission will also consider a lease agreement with the First Presbyterian Church regarding maintenance of public and private parking lots around the church. Commissioners will consider a recommendation to donate old police vests to the Huron Ambulance Service and will give changes regarding the Thanksgiving holiday schedule for solid waste collection. A work session will be held talk variances and assessments. The Huron City Commission will meet tonight at 5:30-P-M. The meeting is open to the public.
