Banks Urging Local Governments To Support Tax Changes For Credit Unions.

Bankers across South Dakota are meeting with local governments to talk about what they see as a tax fairness issue. The complaint they have is that credit unions and the Farm Credit System operate under different rules, and don’t pay as much in taxes as banks do.
