City Commission Meets Tonight

A light agenda for the Huron City Commission tonight. Commissioners will hold a public hearing for the biennial renewal of home occupation permits for seven businesses operated out of homes in Huron. The Commission will also consider assessing delinquent special assessments against property with in the city. Commissioners will consider authorizing Mayor Paul Aylward to sign a proposed development agreement for the former Huron Dressed Beef site. Second reading will be held for the 2014 City Budget ordinance. The Commission will consider a human resource item and talk briefly on the upcoming household hazardous waste disposal on October 24th at the State Fairgrounds. Before ending their meeting the Huron City Commission will meet in executive session for two personnel items. The Huron City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 PM and the meeting is open to the public.
