South Dakota Senator John Thune says he will be moving up the depth chart when the new Congress is seated in January. There are thirteen new Republican Senators who will be sworn in, and with a large turnover in membership, Thune will be moving up the ranks in terms of seniority. He’s not sure yet how that will affect his committee assignments…..
A few months ago, Thune announced he was considering a run for the White House in 2012, based at least in part on the encouragement he received from Senate colleagues and South Dakotans….
