Volesky May Argue For Suspended Imposition Of Sentence In Double Vote Case

54 year old Craig Guymon of Mitchell has pleaded guilty to voting more than once in the Mitchell School Board election on June 4th. During a Tuesday court appearance with attorney Ron Volesky at his side, Guymon told the court he voted in the morning at the polls and voted absentee that afternoon at the Davison County Auditor’s office. Prosecutors agreed to leave sentencing up to the court. Volesky says he may argue for a suspended imposition of sentence. Judge Tim Bjorkman ordered a pre-sentence investigation and set sentencing for September 10th. Guymon faces up to two years in prison and or a $4,000 fine.
