Huron Parents Sue Daughter Over Farm Assets

MOUNT VERNON, S.D. (AP) – A rural Huron couple who loaned their daughter and her husband nearly $32,000 worth of livestock and farm equipment have filed a lawsuit demanding the property be returned.  Joseph and Sharon Rex claim in court documents that their daughter Melissa Peterson and her husband, Jeremiah Peterson, of rural Mount Vernon have refused to return the property that includes 24 sheep, two calves, a tractor, mower and other equipment.  The parents claim in court documents that some of the property may have been sold without permission.  The Petersons have yet to file a response to the complaint.
