Charles Beeney was sentenced to 35 years in prison on charges of Aggravated Assault on a law enforcement officer and escape in a plea deal with prosecutors in Beadle County. A second aggravate assault on a law enforcement officer change and grand theft charge were dismissed. Also dismissed was habitual offender information. Performance Radio was granted the use of audio under South Dakota’s Camera in the Court rules. Video and still photography was denied. The hearings are broken into two parts. The first is the Change of Plea hearing, the second is the sentencing.
