Elementary School Expansion Will Not Include Additional Safe Rooms For Tornadoes

An elementary school, a general sign of a care-free childhood became a scene of horror this week as an EF-four and at a times EF-five tornado bulldozed it’s way through the Park Towers Elementary School in Moore, Oklahoma Monday. Emergency officials in Oklahoma say hundreds of schools in the state do have tornado shelters however both Plaza Towers and Briarwood Elementary, a second school hit by the storm, did not have a dedicated safe room.
