As the school year winds down, this is Teacher Appreciation Week across the country. School districts in South Dakota are working out contract agreements with their teachers. Pierre teachers will get a four percent raise, those in the Sioux Falls district will get an eight percent raise, while teachers in the Yankton district have reached impasse which will require state mediation.
