On Monday night, with friends and family in attendance, Dave McGirr stepped away from public service after 15 years at the Huron Municipal Building. McGirr always showed a combination of respect and restraint when dealing with members of the community who weren’t on the same page….
McGirr was quick to defend the city he looked over…
And not only help bring Huron from dark days but did his best to comfort it…
McGirr also presided over the some good times…
One final moment we couldn’t share but do recall was a meeting in which a tie breaking decision needed to be make. McGirr reached for a coin, and flipped it to choose the winner. A photo gallery of McGirr at work is posted below:
