It was Winegar’s first trip to Boston which added confusion to the chaos…
She was fortunate not to see any of the horrors of the bombing up close…
What happened in Boston was sad to say the least….
Winegar says communication out of Boston was difficult at times. She could only get intermittent text messages and fought a dying battery on her phone. She used a brief Twitter note and Facebook message to let loved ones know she was alright.
