City Commission Meets Tonight

The Huron City Commission meets tonight at the Huron Municipal Building. Commissioners will consider awarding a bid for a two-way live floor trailer for the Solid Waste Department. They will also consider setting a bid date for materials for water, sewer and irrigation. A public hearing will be held on the transfer of a retail on-sale liquor license and on-off sale malt beverage license from Huron Hospitality to First Dakota National Bank, both doing business as the Crossroads Hotel and Convention Center. The Commission will consider a special event on-sale alcohol beverage license for the Heartland Pool and Dart Tournament. Commissioners will also consider an appeal by a resident in the Campbell Park Historic District, to install vinyl windows on the second floor of a home. The Commission will also receive a presentation of a housing availability study. The Commission will hold second reading of a rezoning petition filed by the Beadle County Conservation District. A resolution to remove a restrictive covenant on property on Cardinal Lane is also before the Huron City Commission tonight. Nine departmental items are on the agenda this evening. All of those deal with human resource items. The Commission will meet in executive session for negotiations. The Huron City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 PM and the meeting is open to the public
