Huron City Commission Meets Tonight

The Huron City Commission will meet tonight at the Huron Municipal Building. The Commission will consider three variance requests when they meet as the Board of Adjustments. When the Commission reconvenes, Commissioners will consider one payment request. The Commission will reconsider a plat deferred last week in the Lake Heights Addition. and will consider a request to forgive a delinquent assessment. A public hearing will be held on a proposed Historic Preservation ordinance. Following the public hearing Commissioners will consider the first reading of that Historic Preservation ordinance. They will also hear first reading of a new ordinance on the use of golf carts on public city streets, with ideas put together in a work session at last weeks meeting. Totals for the Household Hazardous Waste Collection will be given, then the Commission will meet in executive session for a personnel matter and union negotiations. The Huron City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 at the Huron Municipal Building. The meeting is open to the public.
