SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) – The temperature in Sioux Falls hit 70 degrees on Wednesday, breaking a record for the date set in 1960. The National Weather Service says the temperature at Sioux Falls’ Joe Foss Field hit the mark just before 2 p.m. CST. The old record for Nov. 21 was 68 degrees. Huron hit 68 degrees, tying a mark set the same year. However a noticeable change is happening as we speak. A wind advisory is posted for Thursday for all of eastern South Dakota. Winds could gust on Thanksgiving up to 45 miles an hour. That surge of wind is bringing in more seasonally and below seasonal temperatures. Friday should see a high around 30 degrees with a low near 14. Temps will briefly warm on Saturday as chances of snow move in for Sunday and Monday. A 30-percent chance of snow is in the forecast for Sunday night into Monday. Temps to start next week see highs just shy of 30 with lows in the mid-teens.
