No injuries are reported after a house fire in central Huron Monday night. Firefighters were called around nine-thirty p-m to the 800 block of Wisconsin Avenue Southwest. Huron Fire Department First Assistant Chief Howard Alter says crews quickly contained the fire….
Two children were transported by ambulance to Huron Regional Medical Center as a precaution, to be evaluated for smoke inhalation. Alter complimented the large number of volunteer firefighters who showed up at the scene. The home has heavy smoke damage to the upstairs area, but the home is not destroyed. The Red Cross gave assistance to the family who is renting the home.
