High School Drug Search Nets One Arrest

A 17-year-old juvenile male was arrested following a narcotics search of the Huron High School Thursday. South Dakota Highway Patrol drug dogs searched the lockers, three classrooms. administrative offices and high school parking lots. No drugs were found in school building itself. The 17-year-old arrested had a small amount of marijuana in his vehicle. The Huron High School was placed in a partial lock down while the search took place. Students stayed in their classrooms and teachers were permitted to teach while the search took place. The search of the schools grounds lasted about 90 minutes.
