Cavour Fire Ruled "Undetermined" By State Fire Marshall's Office

What caused this fire at a hog confinement facility south of Iroquois is unknown

The State Fire Marshall’s office says a the cause of a fire in Cavour back in August is undetermined. Paul Merriman of the Department of Public Safety says the the former Farmers Inn at Cavour was damaged too much by the fire to be able to determine a cause. The Fire Marshalls office was not called to assist in locating the cause of a fire at the Pearl Creek Colony south of Iroquois. What caused the fire at the Colony’s hog confinement facility also in August is unknown. No human injuries were reported in either fire but a number of hog’s died in the Pearl Creek blaze.
