Huron Enters Agreement To Accept Paunch From Aberdeen Beef Plant

The City of Huron approves an agreement with the to-be-opened Northern Beef Packers plant in Aberdeen. Huron reserves the right to refuse any load coming into the rubble site. Solid Waste Superintendent Dale Fortin says, Huron’s facility is best equipped to handle Northern Beef Packers needs….

Fortin says finding a place for the paunch is another of the hurdles N-B-P has to clear in order to begin operation….

A provision in the agreement allows either the City of Huron or Northern Beef Packers to terminate the agreement with written notice at anytime during the agreement.  The agreement calls for Northern Beef Packers to add a deodorant to the material if smell becomes an issue.
