Attendance for the Wheel Jam car and truck show was up from 10-thousand people last year to 16-thousand, 500 this year. The surplus funds accumulated by the State Fair will aid in funding much needed repairs. Work to the roof of the Hippodrome will commence at the State Fair’s conclusion. Other work includes sealing of the Grandstand and new Camper pedestals as camping is a significant source of revenue for the Fairgrounds for the multiple events that take place on the grounds.
