85 Octane Comment Period Ends Today

The South Dakota Department of Public Safety is taking public comments on proposed rules dealing with the sale of 85 octane gas. That gas, which has been sold in western parts of the state for years, has begun showing up, mislabeled, in eastern parts of the state. Attorney General Marty Jackley has said that sale of 85 octane gas is not legal under current state law. Governor Dennis Daugaard issued an executive order allowing the sale until the hearing process wraps up.  The Governor says there could be gas shortages if 85 octane sales are banned…
