Multiple years of increasing attendance and upward revenue numbers is giving the South Dakota State Fair confidence as it prepares for the 2012 event this summer. The State Fair has seen it’s appropriation from the state drop in previous years, but Hertel expects lawmakers to stabilize funding at the 268-thousand dollars received last year after a visit with the Joint Appropriations Committee
