3 Vehicle Crash in Wolsey Sends 3 to the Hospital

Three people were transported to Huron Regional Medical Center following a three vehicle crash in Wolsey.

The accident happened around 3:39 pm Thursday at Commercial Avenue SW and Cardinal Street SE.

A train traveling through Wolsey had caused traffic to back up on U.S. Highway 14 and Commercial Avenue SW.

A 2005 Freightliner Truck and Trailer, driven by Landrell Eddins, 45,  of Big Sandy Texas, was northbound on U.S. Highway 14 and Commercial Avenue. The vehicle could not stop in time and rear-ended a 2011 Ford F150 Supercrew pickup, driven by a 19 year old male, which was at a complete stop at the intersection of Commercial Avenue SW and Cardinal Street SE. The pickup was pushed into the third  vehicle, a 2015 Chevrolet Suburban K15, driven by a 57 year old female.

The three passengers in the pickup were taken to HRMC for minor injuries. Eddins and the driver of the Suburban were not injured.

Charges are pending against Eddins.

All three vehicles had to be towed.
