A candidate forum was held for one seat on the Huron City Commission. In her opening comments Rhonda Kludt spoke of her reasons for seeking the position on the commission.
In his opening comments Drew Weinreis highlighted the last four years as a commissioner.
With the ongoing debate of property taxes this past legislative session and future sessions. A question came before the candidates about what they would do if it affected the city budget. Weinreis gave his response.
Kludt said with tighter budgets, it is important to make sure that you don’t lose what you already have.
You can view that election forum on the City of Huron Youtube site. Election day is April 8th with the one seat on the Huron City Commission the only item on the ballot. Two seats on the Huron School Board were filled by the two candidates who were seeking the position.
