Huron will be host to the East Region High School Rodeo this weekend at the Heartland Grounds on East Highway 14.
The East Region is everything east of state highway 45.
Brad McGirr is coordinating the rodeo again this year, and says 180 high school kids are registered. McGirr says these kids are all around athletes.
McGirr says the Heartland Grounds have been updated.
The main additions are two competition chutes plus some additional panels.
This is the first of two east region rodeos, with the second next weekend in Watertown. Contestants are looking to advance to the state finals in Belle Fourche in two weeks.
Performances are at 1 tomorrow afternoon and 10 Sunday morning. Admission is free.
