HRMC Cutest Baby Contest Open for Entries

HURON, S.D. – In celebration of new life and anticipation of spring weather, Huron Regional Medical Center (HRMC) is hosting its fourteenth annual Cutest Baby contest during March and April, according to Kim Rieger, VP of marketing for HRMC.

“This time of year has us longing for the warmer and longer days after a dark winter,” said Rieger. “This contest gives us a chance to have a little competitive fun searching for ‘the cutest baby’ while celebrating the miracle of new life.”

During the month of March, parents and grandparents are encouraged to enter a picture of their precious baby on Facebook. The nominee must live in HRMC’s seven-county service area and be under the age of 12 months as of March 1, 2022. Therefore, the baby must have been born between March 1, 2021, and March 31, 2022.

Then in April, the contest will again feature daily voting. “People are encouraged to vote once every 24 hours,” explained Rieger. “So, parents and grandparents, promote your entry to keep the votes coming in throughout the month.”

Winners will be chosen via a People’s Choice vote. The top vote getter will win the grand prize package which includes a Hatch Baby Sleep Machine, a Tumble Track punch card, $25 gift certificate to POP HURON Ice Cream, a gift basket of baby essentials, a commemorative blanket, and be featured on HRMC Cutest Baby advertising and promotional materials. The entry with the second most votes, the runner-up winner, will receive a Tumble Track punch card and a $20 gift certificate to POP HURON Ice Cream.

Entries must be received by 4:00 p.m. CST on March 31, 2022, or postmarked by March 31, 2022, to be eligible. Voting opens on Wednesday, April 1. To learn more and enter, visit www.huronregional.org/cutest-baby-contest.
